Most older versions of Unix and Linux support a maximum file size of 2Gb or 4Gb. On these platforms, Sculptor keyed files can be up to the 2Gb or 4Gb limit in size, or can contain up to 16,777,215 records, whichever is less.
Most recent versions of Unix and Linux support a maximum file size of at least 1Tb. On these platforms, Sculptor 5.8.1 keyed files can be any supported size. Standard Sculptor keyed files are still limited to 16,777,215 records, but big Sculptor keyed files can store up to 134,217,727 records.
On Windows 95/98/ME the maximum file size is 4Gb and the maximum number of records is 16,777,215.
