1[2]:

Printer version = 0

1[3]:

File name = winrtf

1[4]:

Description = “Rich Text Format”

1[5]:

Viewer path name = “C:\Program Files\Accessories\Wordpad”

The entries in this section are textual name strings used for general purposes. At present only sub-entries 1 to 5 are in use.

1

The printer name.

2

The printer version.

3

The actual name of the printer parameter file (without extension). This may be accessed in a program by reference to the Sculptor system variable sys.Printer.

4

A fuller text description of the parameter file.

5

The full path name of the viewer program to be used to view the report output. This entry is only relevant to Rich Text printer parameter files, such as winrtf.s. If a viewer program is specified, it is called automatically when the report is ready, with the report output loaded. In the example above the viewer program is Windows WordPad; other possible programs include NotePad and Microsoft Word.

Specifying the word “default” rather than a program name indicates that the RTF file produced by a report should be opened with the default application for this file type. This avoids the requirement to specify a program pathname, which can vary between different Windows platforms.

Syntax

These entries are straightforward text strings.

Availability

Entry 1 and its sub-entries are reserved for use by Sculptor, but the other entries may be freely used.
