Current text file extension

The current configurable text file extension. The extension determines the file which is accessed if an application includes configurable text files. These are typically, though not necessarily, files containing text in different languages, enabling the program to be run under different languages without change.

The default text file extension is normally derived from the environment variable SCTEXT. If SCTEXT has not been set, then it defaults to .eng (English).
